The design in some ways feels more reminiscent of the look and feel of Slack, the collaboration software which recently launched an enterprise product in January and made changes to its own longtime design days before. And now that Slack is fully integrated with Salesforce Customer 360, your sales, service and marketing teams can quickly act on account info, swarm on customer issues, and even work directly with customers, without leaving Slack. Getting meta, Taylor said that in the blog post for the redesign announcement, for example, disagreement on one paragraph led the team to simply tag a date at which the team would go back to make a decision. That includes a projects to-do list and built-in reminder dates that can correspond to an overall project or review of one piece of a project. In addition to a new user interface, Quip documents now include elements more popular with project management tools than word processors. Salesforce has always seemed to struggle with how to make good use. and indicated that Slack was interested in acquiring Quip from Salesforce. It provides a consistent experience across applications - whether you’re in CRM, in Quip or in Slack - that consistency is key to reducing the drain of multi-app navigation, and to maintaining team focus on high-value accounts.
